The medial collateral ligament is a thick and 5 wrist soft tissue that joins the thigh bone to the larger lower leg bone on the inside of the knee providing stability. A knee injury that provides a “valgus force” to the knee may sprain or tear ligament.
Symptoms
- Moderate pain at the medial or inner part of the knee.
- Unstable knee.
- Painful ambulation.
