More correctly referred to as radiculopathy refers to radiating low back pain into the legs. This is a result of inflamed lumbosacral nerve roots and is commonly secondary to an underlying lumbar herniated disc, spondylolisthesis, or spinal stenosis.
Symptoms:
Sharp or lancinating low back pain which radiates to the buttock and one or more lower extremities. This may be associated with numbness, tingling, cramping, or weakness. Symptoms are worsened or improved depending upon the underlying cause.
