A forward or backwards slippage of one vertebrae on top of the other. This is graded I-IV depending upon the degree of slippage and is commonly secondary to an underlying stress fracture (spondylolysis), facet joint degeneration, trauma, bone pathology, or can be seen post surgery.
Symptoms:
Localized pain which may radiate into the arms or legs depending upon the degree of slippage. This may be associated with numbness, tingling, cramping, or weakness and is often worsened with spinal extension biased activities.
